Slipknot

Possibly one of the strangest recommendations I will give you .,. but I will also say that this band provided the song for me and my wifes first dance.. they are possibly a great example of how mental health provides great music.. but also great risk..

if you’d like a documentary try this

Musically i’d recommend the following

And to show why I really rate them ..

Ok at times hard to listen too.. hard to hear.. and hard to accept.. ignore the image and listen to the lyrics .. watch the performance and accept the fact that this music from the mental suffering.. possibly this is why it chimes with me..

I have the privilege of seeing them live, and that made me realise that this was not a group of psychotic maniacs but rather a group of seriously talented music misfits.

I will say that, at a point in my life.. I met someone who appeared in a slipknot video from kent Uk, .. when the guy and his mom turned up in USA.. they discovered their hotel had booking issues.. and Corey the front man took them into his home and ensured their visit was good.. Since then, he and his wife have visited the family in the uk.

I created this blog as a place to discuss Mental health issues. I chose to include Music ,PC Gaming videos and more recently tabletop gaming as all of these have helped with the management of my Mental Health and I thought people who find the Blog for these may also find the Mental Health resources useful. I am aware that a lot of people with Mental Health concerns are not aware that this is what they have or how to go about getting help, I know I was one of these people for at least 10 years. Therefore if one person is helped by the content on my Blog, if one person discovers the blog and gets a better understanding of Mental Health through the videos I post, then all the work will have been worthwhile. If not.. well I am enjoying making the videos and writing the blog, and doing things I enjoy helps my mental health so call it a self serving therapy.
