Rage Against the Machine (RATM)

Now I have purposely delayed writing this post as I believe anyone who has encountered this BLOG should already know RATM.

The are possibly one of .. if not the greatest.. band ever. Often imitated but never replicated.. even by themselves.

The hardest part for me is choosing what to share with you …

So To start with the first track of theirs I remember hearing – thanks to Edwards No.8 – in dodgy Birmingham -deep in the midland wastelands of the UK..

Bouncing round the floor in a mosh pit – yelling at the top of your voice – “Fuck you won’t do what you tell me”

Now their potentially most politically active video –

My real issue with choosing tracks from RATM is that what I really want to do is tell you to buy all their live DVDs, take them home, turn up the surround sound and blast it loud till the neighbours either come round to join you or they ask you politely to turn it down ..

This is MUSIC.. This is POLITICS.. this to me is true PUNK.. raise awareness .. make people question..

And from 2016 – a supergroup including most of RATM

I created this blog as a place to discuss Mental health issues. I chose to include Music ,PC Gaming videos and more recently tabletop gaming as all of these have helped with the management of my Mental Health and I thought people who find the Blog for these may also find the Mental Health resources useful. I am aware that a lot of people with Mental Health concerns are not aware that this is what they have or how to go about getting help, I know I was one of these people for at least 10 years. Therefore if one person is helped by the content on my Blog, if one person discovers the blog and gets a better understanding of Mental Health through the videos I post, then all the work will have been worthwhile. If not.. well I am enjoying making the videos and writing the blog, and doing things I enjoy helps my mental health so call it a self serving therapy.
