The Silver Bayonet:- Solo scenario 1

First play through of the Solo Campaign Scenario 1, a team of 7 French specialists ventured to a deserted summoning circle where a previous team had vanished.

The Field of play

The Field of battle (3ft by 3ft)

The clues were marked using objective markers numbered 1 to 6, which were placed face down and randomised on the table. The Objective markers were from TTCombat, and for wound tracking – Warbases wound trackers were used. The walls were from Sarissa Precision , and the summoning circle, ruins and twisted tree were 3d printed. White d6’s were used to signify who had fired (need to make some shot markers)

The Team

The team consisted of the Officer, a grenadier, an infantryman, a sapper, a veteran hunter, a Heavy Cavalry man and a vivandiere. As they reached the circle they heard the sound of wolves surrounding them.

End of Game

So a total of 8 bonus xp was earned, each team member got 1 xp for participating and I decided to award the bonus evenly to the 4 who made it off table, giving each a total of 3xp.

Only 1 team member survived undamaged – and that was Paulo the officer, who was very lucky with his roles.

Those of the team still standing,.

The downed team members were very lucky with their roles, both Jacques and Herman ended up with Flesh wounds, whilst Rachel took and Permanent Internal injury. Ok I did use a fate dice to reroll Herman’s as originally he was dead, so he was lucky second time round.

Learnings

I am fairly confident that I failed to monitor fatigue accurately. I also forgot the fate pool and possibly could have kept a couple of team members upright if I had used them. But in the end I did remember to use them on the injury roll.

The whole scenario took only 1hr10mins to play, As you can tell by the photos, I got really engaged in the game play and failed to remember to take photos , which to me is a good sign.

Looking forward to the next solo scenario, and contemplating reviewing the Brotherhood of the wolf scenarios I wrote in light of the dangerousness of the wolves.

I created this blog as a place to discuss Mental health issues. I chose to include Music ,PC Gaming videos and more recently tabletop gaming as all of these have helped with the management of my Mental Health and I thought people who find the Blog for these may also find the Mental Health resources useful. I am aware that a lot of people with Mental Health concerns are not aware that this is what they have or how to go about getting help, I know I was one of these people for at least 10 years. Therefore if one person is helped by the content on my Blog, if one person discovers the blog and gets a better understanding of Mental Health through the videos I post, then all the work will have been worthwhile. If not.. well I am enjoying making the videos and writing the blog, and doing things I enjoy helps my mental health so call it a self serving therapy.
