The Birmingham Bullrun – KoW Tournament

So on the 12th of February I am off to Board in Brum to participate in The Birmingham Bullrun, a Kings of War competition organised by the Nice and Friendly Steve from Death by Dragons.

I will be taking “Lydias Retirement Home Day Trip” a Varangur army

The core of this list is the new Special Formation for Varangur “Sliksneer’s Shriekers” – who for this list I have renamed “Lydias Walrus Riders” – (TTCombat Halfling Shieldmaidens)

Some nice Chaff in the form of Draugr (Northstar Revenants)

2 Regiments of Clansmen – Ok 1 of clansmen (Mantic Games Northern Alliance) and 1 of diminutive clans women (TTCombat Halfling Shieldmaidens)

Two Magus Conclaves – cos it wouldn’t be Varangur without them – (Models are NorthStar FrostGrave Wizards and Cultists)

A snow troll prime – (from Mantic Games – Terrain Crate)

A couple of troops of Reavers – Victrix Celtic Fanatics

A regiment of Huscarls – Victrix Anglo Saxon Huscarls

Thegn on Frostfang – in this Case its actually a Thegn on Badgelor – A Mantic Games Model.

On the 6th February I tested the army in a friendly match, we had a great game which ended up in a draw, the army performed reasonably well. I am hoping to share Battle reports from the Competition, time allowing and if I remember to take some notes and photos.

I created this blog as a place to discuss Mental health issues. I chose to include Music ,PC Gaming videos and more recently tabletop gaming as all of these have helped with the management of my Mental Health and I thought people who find the Blog for these may also find the Mental Health resources useful. I am aware that a lot of people with Mental Health concerns are not aware that this is what they have or how to go about getting help, I know I was one of these people for at least 10 years. Therefore if one person is helped by the content on my Blog, if one person discovers the blog and gets a better understanding of Mental Health through the videos I post, then all the work will have been worthwhile. If not.. well I am enjoying making the videos and writing the blog, and doing things I enjoy helps my mental health so call it a self serving therapy.
