Ok so I have been working on forces for my WW2 partisans and I wondered what force lists I can create with them.
I have managed to put together the following forces, these have come from 1 box of Wargames Atlantic Partisans kit bashed to create variants, 1 pack of Metal Warlord Games Partisans ,1 pack of metal Warlord Games Partisan support group and my 3d printed Gurkha based partisans.

- 1 MMG Team of 3
- 1 Medium Mortar Team of 3
- 1 AT Rifle Teams of 2
- 5 LMG Teams – 4 from the Wargames Atlantic kits and 1 3d printed.
- 1 Sniper Team
- 1 PIAT Team
- 3 Partisans with Panzer Schreck – 1 metal ,1 plastic. and 1 3d printed.
- 21 Partisans with SMG’s – 8 metal, 4 3d printed and 9 plastic
- 12 partisans with Rifles – 1 metal, 3 3d printed and 8 plastic
- 3 partisan Leaders, 2 from the Wargames Atlantic set and 1 with a shotgun
That gives me a total of 61 Partisans. The comments on the Wargames Atlantic partisan box of not having many rifles is true , but if you look at the Warlord Games metal partisan squad it is also SMG heavy. So I say keep your spares from other sets to enable you to make more rifles.
So lets have a look at the types of list I can create.
To start with I am going to build an early war using the Wargames Atlantic kit as the base.
An Early war 1939-1941 Resistance list – from the French and Allies book- list. This means the Medium Mortar, PIAT and Panzer Schrecks are out of scope.
List 1 – Wargames Atlantic only – especially as the Warlords Games squad is very SMG heavy. – so I give you a 493 pts list.
List 2 – using a couple of the Warlord Games partisan support team this list gets to 573 pts.
OK so lets roll in the Warlord Games Partisan squad –
This gives me a 647 pts list – this could be enhanced by giving each squad AT grenades
Ok lets move to a 1942-1945 list – I.e. mid war to late war – liberation list again from the France and Allies book.
I have this 741 point list – the AT Rifle can no longer be used along side the PIAT- although if I really wanted to use it I could have 2 platoons.
All these lists could have their points increased by changing the Officer to a 1st Lieutenant and adding transport vehicles, and the late list could be enhanced with some Artillery. Also there is the option of a liaison officer to provide Air support.
