So continuing with looking at what types of lists a single box of figures can build this post looks at the Warlords Games WW2 British Airborne plastics set.

I bought this box set to build some Late War Free French Paratroopers, and enhanced the options available in the box with bits from the Wargames Atlantic

When I built and painted these figures I shared them with you in an earlier post Bolt Action: Free French Part 6
There are 30 miniatures in the box and I built the following mix from which I could build my lists –
- 1 Sniper
- 3 Bren
- 15 Riflemen
- 9 SMG
- 1 PIAT Team
For the first List I am going to be honest to intention and use the French Late-War Reinforced Platoon list, for this list the Paratroopers would be included in the Brigade de Choc. – As they are all Veteran and Stubborn you can get nearly 700 pts oh and if we let the PIAT be a bazooka
Lets now see how this looks as British Airborne – which historically is also a valid option as the Free French paratroopers were re-equipped and trained by the British.
Those are 2 pretty good lists, I also have some 3d printed Paratroopers to support this box – which basically replicates the Warlord Games British Paratrooper Support Group by adding a Medium Machine Gun and a Medium Mortar, I also have an extra sniper in Gille Suite, second PIAT Team and a Flame thrower. Also I have 3 Jeeps which can be used to transport the officer and/or weapons teams. If I include these the team mate for the original Sniper becomes the team mate for the Flame Thrower, the team mate for the original PIAT team becomes the Mortar Spotter

With these few additions my original French list reaches 1000 pts –
Now the British Paratrooper list with the additions
Really quite pleased with these lists and look forward to using them – I do also have a Sherman, an M3 ,an M5, am M10 Tank Destroyer along with several M3 1/2 Tracks, an M8 Greyhound, an M3 Scout Car and several trucks that can be used to flesh out these lists and add a touch of variety.
Hope you find these useful.
