TTCombat: Halflings in Space

Last year I backed the TTcombat kickstart to create some space halflings – these arrived on time and I am very please with the quality. I have recently finished painting and basing these to be used in Mantic Games Firefight or Osprey’s Xenos Rampant, as both are played in the clubs I attend.

Lets start with the Leader

Halfling Sergeant and Officers

A communications marine or forward Observer

Halfling Psychic and Veteran Officer

Halfling Medic and Halfling Sergeant

Halfling Heavy Weapons Teams

Halfling Veteran Squads

Halfling 1st Squad

Halfling 2nd Squad

Halfling 3rd Squad

And 6 Mercenaries – or over grown Halflings or possibly genetically modified Halflings – Not from the kick-starter just a random box set.

Now I know what your asking – what forces does this allow to be built?

So starting with Mantics Firefight – I have decided to use the Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere to build the force. – this uses all of the available figures except 1 of the Heavy Weapons teams.

Now lets see what we get in Xenos Rampant

• The Marine Major – will be a Tactical Commander
• The Rangers – will become a unit of Recon Infantry – for 2 pts
• The Veteran Unit – will become a unit of Heavy Infantry with increased Squad Size, Slow – for 3 pts
• The 1st Squad – will become a unit of Light Infantry with increased squad Size, Slow and heavy weapons – for 4 pts
• The 2nd Squad – will become a unit of Light Infantry with increased squad Size, Slow and heavy weapons – for 4 pts
• The 3rd Squad – will become a unit of Light Infantry with increased squad Size, Slow and heavy weapons – for 4 pts
• The Heavy Weapons Teams – will become 3 support infantry units with heavy weapons and slow – for 6 pts each or a total of 18 pts.
• The Forward Observer – becomes a Light Infantry with slow and Fire Support – for 5 pts

Now this list has been put together through my reading of the rules and may not be the best – and delivers 40 pts worth of troops.
