So I have painted up some new recruits for my German Paratroopers Fallschirmjäger force. All these miniatures are from Warlord Games, I will be using them in Bolt Action and 02 hundred hours.
First up a Panzerschreck team
Next 3 gunners for an AT gun team – I have learnt to mount these separately to enable casualty removal and also use of the team with multiple weapons.
A Flamethrower team
A Mortar team again mounted individually
And lastly a Sniper team
So lets see how these new additions effect my available lists – so starting with the Early war German Reinforced Platoon which originally came in at 499 pts- so in early war we can only include an AT gun team, a Mortar team, the flamethrower team and the sniper team, all as veteran to continue the elite theme – we now hit 764 points
And now onto the Mid-War list – again using the Fallschirmjager Squad (Italy, 1943) from the Italy: Soft Underbelly (page 92) campaign book. We still cannot include the PanzerSchreck – and the AT gun gets upgraded to a PAK38.. the list is now worth 930 pts.
And now lets update the late war list – this is based on the Fallschimjager Regiment 6 list from the D-Day US Sector Campaign book – and we now have 1,051 pts list.
These additions represent the additional infantry and artillery forces provided for the Fallschirmjager in the Fallschirmjager starter army set, this set also includes a STUGIII and a sdKfz 251/1 half track which allows the total force value to reach 1,500 pts.
I am working on a small group of Fallschirmjager to replace those I created equipped with mid and late war equipment originally so that I have a full 30 paratroopers available for my early war list.
