I have been working on some of my left over sprues from projects and the first up were those remaining from my British for the Shako and Bayonets supplement of Muskets and Tomahawks .
The first unit I painted was done as the 6th Regiment of Foot aka the 1st Warwickshire, so I decided to do these extras as the 24th Regiment of Foot who later became the 2nd Warwickshire Regiment. The 2nd Battalion of this regiment fought in the Peninsular War so they are suitable for inclusion in my Shako and Bayonets troops.
I have so far completed a Flank Company of Grenadiers, a Flank Company of Light Infantry and a Centre Company each of 8 figures. To support these I have also done 3 drummers, 2 Sergeants, 1 Flag Barer, 1 Light Company Officer and 1 Centre Company Officer. I still have 16 more Centre Company figures, 1 extra Centre Company officer, 1 extra drummer, 1 additional Sergeant and 1 extra Colour Bearer. These will in the end allow me to field 1 Grenadier Company, 1 Light Company, 4 Centre Companies with 3 officers and 1 spare standard bearer which can be used to increase units from 8 to 10 figures.
The figures are a combination of sprues from the Centre Company Peninsular British Infantry and Flank Company Peninsular British Infantry
Grenadier Company including a Drummer and sergeant
Lights Company Including Light Company Officer
Centre Company including Battalion Colours, Sergeant and Drummers.
Rear detail shots
Light Flank Company
My attempt at the 6th Regiment of Foot aka the 1st Warwickshire can be found at my earlier post – Napoleonic – British for Shako and Bayonets.
This so far gives a nice 400 pts force for Shako and Bayonets

Adding these to my original force of 2*12 man Line Units, unit of 4 riflemen, unit of 5 riflemen, Light Infantry Officer and 2 additional line officers – gives me jus over 8oo pts.

By the time I finish painting my last 20 figures I’ll have another 2* 10 man Line units and a combined force of over 1000 pts.
