This gang was released as free bee by Great escape games. You can download its rules and details along with a specially designed Set of scenes HERE.

<<<< update – great escape games have now added the specific cards to their shop, they come along with the Jayhawkers and Bushwhackers cards, I have not got a copy of them so I am keeping up my suggestion below as well >>>>
Now the only real problem with this gang is it’s gang specific cards – it says in the free download you can buy them from Great Escape Games – however there are NO specific cards for sale. In the write up though it says they do use the RED CARDS – so I’d say you could chose from any of the Gangs that use red – these are.
- The Law – Core Rules Cards
- Cowboys – Core Rules Cards
- Pinkertons – Legend of DMH Cards
- 7th Cavalry – Legend of DMH Cards
- State Police – DMH Down Under Cards
- Daughters of the West – Unique set
- The Boys – Unique Set
- The Bucks – Unique Set
So if you’d like to learn more about the history behind this gang check out WIKIPEDIA.
There is no specific model set for this gang – but in my mind I think of the “Yankee “Blondie” from the good the bad and the ugly. Now Great Escape do do a box of citizens , but it doesn’t include the stranger nor does it have any cards. Great escape also stock a couple of potential figures for The stranger.

This is StrongHold Terrains Unknown Stranger or you may prefer Joe.
The Stranger is nor a Rogue and is introduced in the Free “The Stranger”
Once in a while things’ll get so bad around town that the folks have just had enough.
The stranger – Great escape games
Sometimes the law helps, other times the folks in town are brought together by something else entirely.
The stranger came into town and shook everything up. Short on words, he let his pistols do the talking, and when they spoke they sang a song of death.
Nobody knew his name, when he came or when he left, they just knew that the streets were safer and the cemetery held a few more corpses
The STRANGER roster is made up of – err The stranger and citizens of Dead Mans Hand
THE STRANGER – the gang must have 1 of these and he is armed with a pistol, he has no nerve value a +3 to shooting a +1 to HTH and costs 11 rep – that makes him the most expensive single figure on any roster.
UPSTANDING CITIZENS – the gang must have 2 of these, they can be armed with a pistol, Rifle or repeating rifle. Remember like most gangs at least 50% must be with a pistol as their sole ranged weapon.
CITIZENS – the gang can include upto 6 of these and they are armed with pistols, rifles or repeating rifles, up to 2 may have a shotgun.
So that 1 very expensive sharp shooter, 2 reasonable characters and a rabble.
The STRANGER has 4 special rules – these only apply to the STRANGER
- QUICKER THAN YOU’LL EVER LIVE TO BE – the STRANGER gets one free QUICK SHOT a turn, it can only be used if he has not already activated, it does not burn his activation and does not count as an action. So in theory THE STRANGER could do 2 quick shots in one turn.
- NERVES OF STEEL – THE STRANGER never takes nerve tests – shooting result of “Take an under fire marker and make a nerve test” basically on him are just “take an under fire marker”. Whilst the STRANGER is alive this gang will never take nor fail a BIG NERVE TEST.
- NO TURNING BACK – so he may be able to do multiple QUICK SHOTS but he can never DUCK BACK.
- GREASED LIGHTNING – THE STRANGER is never out of ammo due to a natural roll of 1 – basically its as if he has PLETHORA OF PISTOLS. He is not immune to cards which make him OUT OF AMMO.
This really is a cinematic roster – possibly not one for competitive play – although it could be fun to see.
