Bolt Action: French in Indo China Part 2

Following on from my Original Post – Bolt Action: French in Indo China – I have actually got round to building and painting my forces, mean while Warlord have announced as Plastic Multipart french box set, now I have used Wargames Atlantic’s WW1 French to provide Adrien Helmets and Backpacks to provide my force with a French Flavour – I have also included some of Polish Paratrooper Beretted heads from Warlord Games British Partroopers and rounded out the heads with some floppy hats from Great escape Games Plastic Gunfighters and some randoms from my bitz box that I am not sure of their origin – I think Gripping Beast Dark Age plastics.

So a quick free advert for Warlord Games – never know they may be grateful – lol.

This set will provide some great heads that can be kitbashed with the various other kits and expand the options for us french players, the floppy berets and kepis will provide easier conversion to represent various of the Colonial units.

So my proposed builds was.

• 1 AT Rifle team – 2 prone figures 1 with AT Rifle 1 with rifle – Regular – 30 pts. – Sun Helmet
• 1 Light Mortar team – 1 prone figure with Light Mortar and 1 Kneeling figure with Mortar Ammo and Rifle.- Regular 40 pts – Sun Helmet
• 1 Officer – with pistol and officer hat – veteran 1st Lieutenant – 90 pts. – Sun Helmet
• 1 Forward Observer with Pistol and Binoculars – Veteran Air Observer – 90 pts – Sun Helmet
• 1 Squad of French Foreign Legion – 100 pts – Slouch Helmet
  • NCO with Rifle
  • 3 Riflemen
  • 1 LMG team – 1 prone with LMG and 1 Kneeling with pistol.
• 1 Squad Regular Colonial Infantry – 83 pts + 12 pts for A/T Grenades = 95 pts. – Sun Helmet
  • NCO with SMG
  • 3 Riflemen
  • 1 LMG Team – 1 with LMG 1 with Rifle
• 1 Squad Indo Chinese Infantry section – 148 pts – Beret
  • NCO with SMG
  • 9 Riflemen
  • 1 LMG team – 1 with LMG 1 with Pistol.

Total = 30 + 40 + 90 + 90 + 100 + 95 + 148 = 593 pts

Now the only difference that I have actually done – was I built a sniper and 1 less LMG team.
