Ok Times for Politics

So when I set this blog up I did warn everyone that I may occasionally include a bit of Politics.

As many will know (and may not care) the Uk will be having a General Election this year in July. I am an Ardent believer in Proportional Representation because I believe that every one should get a voice in parliment and that decision made by concensious is better than any made unilaterally. To this end I am a part of several organisations that support the move to PR in the UK.

Now I am happy to enter a conversation with anyone who is anti-PR but please understand I have a background in statistics and Government management, so will be hard to be persuaded that a party with a good majority is required for strong government. I wish to see an end to swing politics and a move away from the adversarial history of Englands parliment. We may be the Mother of all parliments but currently we are the Grand Mother of parliments that needs to review how it does stuff and accept change, the new Information era means that we need to make a more inclusive form of Goverment and the first step in this is PR.

The last Government actually reduced inclusivity by removing PR from Majoral and PCC elections, so they are not the party to lead the country further into the 21st Century.

Whatever you political persuasion, so long as you believe in fair representation, I would ask you to either physically or digitally attend the following event, on the 4th of June.
