Dead Man’s Hand Redux: Legendary Gunslingers – Natalie “Nat” Love

Welcome to the first of the Legendary Gunslingers from Dead Mans Hand Redux by Great Escape Games – Natalie “NAT” Love.

NAT is one of the 7 Legendary Gunslingers included in the new Redux rule book. As discussed in a previous post – these replace the Rogues Gallery from the previous edition and differ in 1 core way – that is instead of having unique cards which replace a card in the Players deck – some have a legendary skill which can be activated once per game by playing a Face card and used instead of the Face card’s ability.

NAT is a REP 3 Character, with the standard stats for a 3 REP model. She Is known for 2 abilities and alas does not have any Legendary skills.

LIFE IN THE SADDLE – NAT can mount/dismount without expending an action and may also use the Cowboy stampede ability.

SURVIVOR – Once per game NAT may retain a Common card that has been played from the owning players hand, once the card has been played it is returned to the players hand and the owning player must discard an alternative card from their hand. So basically it allows you to play a 2-10 card and then return it to your hand to be played again later.

So all in all not an extremely strong character – but the Once per game ability could be quite handy and a nice twist.

Previously I looked at the Rogues from the first edition, and also at how the rules for the Legends compare to that for the Rogues. If you’d like to know about the Rogues checkout my Dead Mans Hand page which has links to them all and gangs from first edition along with content from the Redux.

I created this blog as a place to discuss Mental health issues. I chose to include Music ,PC Gaming videos and more recently tabletop gaming as all of these have helped with the management of my Mental Health and I thought people who find the Blog for these may also find the Mental Health resources useful. I am aware that a lot of people with Mental Health concerns are not aware that this is what they have or how to go about getting help, I know I was one of these people for at least 10 years. Therefore if one person is helped by the content on my Blog, if one person discovers the blog and gets a better understanding of Mental Health through the videos I post, then all the work will have been worthwhile. If not.. well I am enjoying making the videos and writing the blog, and doing things I enjoy helps my mental health so call it a self serving therapy.
