In holding with my personal belief’s and attitudes, I have investigated the pro’s and con’s of “trigger warnings”, and in order to enable you to do the same, below are some of the links I reviewed.
- Psychology today trigger-warnings-and-mental-health-where-is-the-evidence
- Good Therapy triggers
- The independent trigger-warnings-online-content-distress-students-study
- The mix looking-after-yourself a-guide-to-content-and-trigger-warnings
However in keeping with my personal belief that mental health needs to be discussed and in general discussing it is overall helpful to sufferers, I am still undecided as to whether inclusion of “Trigger” warnings is a good or bad idea.
What I will say is – if any thing on my site causes you distress or uncomfortable feelings, please use the numbers provided to discuss your feelings with a trained professional.
